What is meant by Prostatitis?
Prostatitis is the inflammation or swelling of the prostate gland.
Prostatitis Causes:
Prostatitis is caused by the infection in the urinary tract or in other parts of the body. It may occur due to veneral infection (sexual diseases). It is mainly caused by bacteria. Other causes may include disorder of the nervous system or the immune system. It may also be caused due to an injury to the prostate gland.
Symptoms :
Prostatitis Symptoms in men are mentioned below
- Painful urination
- Excessive urnation
- Frequent urination
- High fever
- Disharge of pus from the penis
These symptoms should be said to the doctor for therapy.
Prostatitis Antibiotics for Treatment:
Antibiotic therapy is used for controlling the infection. Acute Prostatitis is less common. Antiobiotics such as trimethoprim and fluoroquinolones are used to treat the chronic prostatitis.
