Canadian miner Power Ore has completed its name change and rebranding as QC Copper and Gold to reflect its focus on its flagship Opemiska Copper-Gold project in Quebec, Canada.

Stephen Stewart – QC Copper and Gold CEO said: “Our new name, brand and refocused message better reflects the evolution of our Company. QC represents our focus within Quebec, while Copper & Gold are the commodities which are most prevalent within our Opemiska Project but also the Chibougamau district at large.”

Located adjacent to Chapais, within the Chibougamau region, the Opemiska Copper Complex is spread over 12,782 hectares. It comprises the past producing Springer, Perry, Cooke, and Robitaille mines, owned and operated by Falconbridge.

QC Copper and Gold is planning to make the Opemiska Copper Mine Complex into an open-pit operation. This is based on Falconbridge’s targeting of only the highest grades (+5% Cu).
