PG Technoplast launches new air conditioning manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan

PG Technoplast Private Limited, a subsidiary of PG Electroplast Limited (PGEL), celebrated the opening of its new air conditioning manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, marking a significant advancement in its production capabilities. This move is designed to address the increasing demand for energy-efficient and sustainable cooling solutions in India and to strengthen the company’s position in the burgeoning air conditioning market.

The state-of-the-art facility spans 200,000 square feet and is equipped to manufacture a wide range of split air conditioners, from 0.75T to 2.0T. With an annual production capacity of 360,000 AC indoor units, 360,000 AC outdoor units, and 250,000 window ACs, the plant is set to majorly ramp up PG Technoplast’s manufacturing output. Additionally, the facility will bolster the local economy by creating jobs for over 1,000 individuals.

The inauguration ceremony featured prominent industry leaders including Kamal Nandi, Business Head and Executive Vice President of Godrej Appliances; NS Satish, President of Haier India; and Pradeep Jain, Managing Director of Jaina India. Their presence underscored the industry-wide support and the strategic importance of this new facility in the region.

Reflecting PG Technoplast’s commitment to sustainability, the new facility incorporates several eco-friendly initiatives. These include a state-of-the-art Learning Centre designed to educate and train apprentices and employees, fostering the next generation of manufacturing talent. The plant also features advanced water conservation systems and integrated facility management systems aimed at minimizing waste production across various categories.

This facility opening follows PG Technoplast’s recent recognition under the Indian government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, where it was commended for its investment and sales performance in the air conditioning components sector for fiscal years 2021-22 and 2022-23. With this development, PG Technoplast cements its position as the second-largest Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) of Room Air Conditioners in India, a remarkable achievement since entering the market in 2021.
