Petro Services and its primary subcontractor, Ocean Installer, have announced a significant contract award from TotalEnergies EP Angola and its Block 17 partners. The deal price for this project is undisclosed. The contract involves the execution of an umbilical recovery and reinstallation scope on the Pazflor Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. Notably, this marks Ocean Installer’s second involvement in TotalEnergies EP Angola projects this year, while Petro Services maintains ongoing long-term contracts with TotalEnergies in Angola.
Petro Services will oversee project management activities and execute in-country support operations for this critical project.
As part of this fast-track umbilical repair initiative, scheduled for later this year, Ocean Installer will leverage its in-house expertise in project management and engineering. As the primary subcontractor, they will be responsible for the recovery and reinstallation of the production-critical umbilical, including any necessary topside operations.
Ocean Installer CEO Kevin Murphy expressed confidence in their partnership, stating, “This is our second participation in TotalEnergies EP Angola projects this year. Now we look forward to working closely with Petro Services for a safe and successful execution. The fact that TotalEnergies once again entrusts us with production-critical operations demonstrates the trust our clients have in our abilities.”
Alexander Haly, CEO of Petro Services, added, “This is our first award with Ocean Installer as our main selected subcontractor, which we embrace. We are confident that the different skill sets of both Ocean Installer and Petro Services will complement one another, ensuring a successful project execution for TotalEnergies EP Angola.”
Ocean Installer’s project management and engineering team will provide support from their offices in Houston and Stavanger, while Petro Services will offer support from Luanda and Monaco.
