PCI Pharma Services to open new clinical center of excellence in Berlin

PCI Pharma Services, a drug development solutions provider, is set to expand its global clinical trial services with a new clinical center of excellence (COE) at its Berlin location in Germany.

The pharma and biopharma outsourcing solutions provider said that the new center will enable it to grow its clinical supply-chain network into continental Europe to complement offerings available at its UK and Ireland locations.

PCI Pharma Services expects the clinical center of excellence in Berlin to be completed early next year. The new hub will have 17,000 square feet of space, which will be exclusively used for primary and secondary packaging, storing pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical therapies at all ranges of temperature, and distribution.

In late June, the drug development solutions provider wrapped up the expansion of its new biotech packaging center of excellence in Philadelphia. At that time, PCI Pharma Services said that it will make significant new investments for growing its global biotech packaging capabilities at its operations in Ireland, which will complement its existing capabilities in the UK and Germany.

The new investments are expected to offer global packaging solutions to customers for their biologics and injectable drug products to address the increasing market demands, said PCI Pharma Services.
