Nitin Paranjpe joins Infosys board with vast international experience and expertise
Infosys, a renowned global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, has made a significant announcement by appointing Nitin Paranjpe (DIN: 00045204) as an Independent Director of the company, effective from January 01, 2024. This strategic appointment comes following the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Infosys Board and is set for a duration of five years, pending shareholder approval.
Nitin Paranjpe, a distinguished figure in the corporate world, currently serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) and holds the esteemed positions of Chief People and Chief Transformation Officer at Unilever PLC. His impressive journey within the Unilever organization spans several years, dating back to October 2013 when he became a member of the Unilever Executive Leadership. Notably, he has also held the pivotal role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Unilever, responsible for driving global results.
Paranjpe embarked on his illustrious career with HUL (formerly Hindustan Lever Limited) in 1987, initially focusing on various roles in marketing and sales. His exceptional leadership qualities propelled him to the position of Chief Executive Officer, India, and Executive Vice President for Unilever, South Asia, in April 2008.

Nitin Paranjpe’s accomplishments have earned him numerous accolades in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the business and industry. His trailblazing efforts in promoting diversity were celebrated with the GG2 Hammer Award in 2019, and in 2020, he received the Kindness Award from the Women of the Future Network, acknowledging his exemplary leadership, guidance, and empathy. Additionally, he holds positions on the Supervisory Board of Heineken NV, the Chinmaya Mission Advisory Council, and the WeSchool Innovation Advisory Board.
Academically, Nitin Paranjpe boasts a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing, both from the prestigious Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management in Mumbai.
