Nausea can be a painful sensation in the stomach. It typically occurs before , however, it could also happen on its own. and vomiting can have a variety of reasons.

The mere smell or sight of something malodorous, of food you do not like could cause nausea. Motion sickness and anxiety are typical causes. Vomiting is usually due to gastroenteritis (an infection) or food poisoning or alcohol consumption that is excessive.

Morning sickness is common in the early stages of pregnancy. Migraine sufferers can vomit during migraine attacks. The vomiting and nausea are usually temporary, however frequent vomiting can lead to dehydration.

Home remedies for nausea and Vomiting

Ginger and pineapple: Eat nothing for the entire day. Consume 1 cup fresh sweet pineapple juice, with one teaspoon of ginger and a bit of black pepper, and a 1/2 teaspoon of organic sugar three times a day.

Lime juice: Mix 10 drops of lime juice with 1/2 teaspoon sugar into 1 cup water, and just before drinking, add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.

Cardamom: Chew 1 or 2 seeds of cardamom.

Ginger: Take ginger tea or clove tea to lessen the symptoms.

Honey and lemon: Mix equal portions of honey and lemon juice. Dip your index finger in the mix and lick it slowly.

Onion and ginger: Drink 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger juice along with 1 tablespoon of onion juice.

The combination of cardamom and honey is delicious. Add 1/2 teaspoon of honey and 2 pinches of cardamom in half a cup of plain yogurt.

For nausea in children:

Coconut water and lemon: Mix 1 tbsp lemon juice with 1 cup of coconut water and have your child drink this mixture every 15 minutes for 15 minutes.

You can open a window or go outside for a few moments to breathe in fresh air, especially if you are feeling nauseous.

Try fasting for one day. Avoid eating any solid food. Fasting can provide a restorative boost to the digestive system.

If you want to eat take small portions of food slowly. Begin with simple foods like rice that has been cooked and soup.

Consume at minimum 8 glasses of clear fluids such as apple juice or water daily.

Take a break after eating and sit down in a chair, or lying down propped in bed.

Dont’s for Vomiting and Nausea

Avoid oily or spicy food as well as very hot or cold drinks and food.

Beware of strong odors, such as perfumes.

Beware of drinks that may irritate stomachs, like coffee, alcohol, and coca.

Consult a doctor, when

  • Vomiting isn’t completely gone within 24 hours.
  • You experience other signs.

Consult a doctor right away If :

  • In the vomit, there is blood.
  • Neck stiffness or headaches.
  • Abdominal pain that is severe.
