Mahindra & Mahindra unveils Mahindra OJA range of 40 tractors
Mahindra & Mahindra said that Mahindra Tractors has unveiled the OJA brand of future-ready range of tractors from the group’s global tractor program called K2.
“OJA” has been taken from the Sanskrit word “Ojas” which represents vitality, strength, and energy.
The Mahindra OJA is the all-new light-weight global tractor platform that focuses on both international and domestic markets, including the US, South-East Asia, and Japan. It has been designed in close cooperation with the teams of engineers from Mitsubishi Mahindra Agriculture Machinery, Japan as well as Mahindra Research Valley, India, which is the research and development (R&D) center that Mahindra has for its auto and farm sector.
It is expected that the Mahindra OJA will have four sub-tractor platforms, including Sub Compact, Compact, Small Utility, and Large Utility tractor categories, which will cover 40 models with various horsepower (HP) points.
Presently, Mahindra is the only tractor maker in Telangana, with an investment of around INR 10.87 billion in Zaheerabad. The farming equipment sector of the group employs more than 1,500 people, with a capacity of more than 100,000 tractors annually in a two-shift system.
The Zaheerabad plant has the ability to launch over 300 different tractor options that range from 30 to 100 HP.
The tractor manufacturing plant exports more than 65% of its production outside India.

“Slated for launch later this year, the OJA is Mahindra’s Future Ready approach to tractorization exemplified by numerous first best-in-class technologies for improved performance and productivity, through which we aim to transform farming and enrich farmers’ lives.”
