L&T Technology bags 5-year engineering services deal from BMW Group

L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has bagged a five-year, multi-million-dollar contract from BMW Group to deliver high-end engineering services for the latter’s suite of infotainment consoles targeted for its line up of hybrid vehicles.

According to the Larsen & Toubro subsidiary, the deal was secured due to its deep domain know-how and leadership in engineering in transportation technologies and its ability to provide opportunities to scale up current projects and work on new ones.

L&T Technology Services said that its team of engineers will be offering services in the areas of software build and integration, validation of infotainment, and management of defects.

The Indian firm stated that its existing near shore center provides engineering and research and development (R&D) services for the suite of infotainment consoles of BMW Group and its range of hybrid electric vehicles.

L&T Technology Services added that its proximity to the campus of BMW Group will enable its engineers in working on a range of solutions and provide services in real time.
