L&T Construction bags multiple contracts in India and overseas

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that its construction arm – L&T Construction has bagged multiple orders in India and overseas for its various businesses.

Its power transmission and distribution business bagged an order for the construction of a 220kV transmission line related to system strengthening in the Ladakh region.

According to , the design and execution of the transmission system involve traversing hilly terrains that are avalanche-prone apart from ice loading of conductors.

L&T Construction has won another turnkey order, which is for urban power distribution under the Integrated Power Development Scheme in the city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

In Dubai, L&T Construction has won a contract for design, supply, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 132/11kV substation with related cable works.

In Africa, the company has secured a couple of transmission line packages.

L&T Construction has won a package in for supplying and constructing a new gas insulated substation and related substation extensions. Larsen & Toubro said that works will boost the security of the transmission system and support the increasing demand for electricity in the upper northern parts of Thailand.

On the other hand, L&T Construction’s buildings and factories business has won an order from a major cement manufacturer in India to construct a grinding unit with a capacity of 1.8 MTPA in , . The contract’s scope involves civil, mechanical and equipment installation works.
