Larsen & Toubro bags EPC contracts for power transmission and distribution unit

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that ‘s power transmission and distribution unit has won multiple engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) orders in and abroad.

The Indian conglomerate didn’t disclose the exact value of the contracts but indicated them to be in the range of INR 1,000 crores to 2,500 crores.

Larsen & Toubro said that the renewables arm secured an EPC contract to set up a 90MW floating solar photovoltaic (PV) plant at the Omkareshwar dam reservoir in the Khandwa district, .

In western Uttar Pradesh, Larsen & Toubro will carry out works for developing distribution infrastructure under the revamped reforms-linked distribution scheme. Under the loss reduction package, the company will be responsible for asset mapping using geospatial information system (GIS).

Outside India, Larsen & Toubro bagged an order for setting up 400kV and 225kV transmission lines in North Africa. The power transmission and distribution unit also secured an order for the construction of a 132kV substation in in Sarawak, Malaysia.
