Larsen & Toubro bags Rs 1,000-2,500cr construction contracts

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that the buildings and factories (B&F) business of L&T Construction has won contracts in the range of INR 1,000-2,500 crores from various important customers.

The buildings and factories unit of L&T Construction bagged contracts from undisclosed data center service providers to build data centers with a total capacity of 10.8MW in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

According to Larsen & Toubro, the scope involves design, build, supply, installation, T&C works for the data center and associated buildings, including fit outs.

Additionally, the scope includes systems like HVAC, elevators,  fire fighting systems, electrical, networking and security systems, public health engineering, and building management system.

Larsen & Toubro will also carry out site development and construction of road, landscaping, and boundary wall, among others.

L&T Construction B&F business has also clinched a repeat order from a major client to build commercial office space of a built-up area of around one million sft in Hyderabad.

Furthermore, the unit won an order from the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. for the engineering, procurement and construction of the ‘Statue of Oneness’ – The Statue of Adi Shankaracharya at Omkareshwar in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh.  The statue will be bronze cladded and will be put on a stone-based lotus petal base, which will be installed over an RCC pedestal.
