Infosys has forged a new collaboration with Walmart Commerce Technologies to assist retailers in utilizing technology solutions that streamline the experiences of customers and store employees.
The Indian IT giant said that retailers will be helped in implementing and utilizing the Store Assist solution, which enables them to offer a seamless omnichannel experience, such as pickup, delivery, and shipping from the store for employees as well as customers.
Infosys has a consumer and retail-focused practice that is said to have helped retailers, consumer packaged goods and logistic firms navigate the way with the help of digital and new technologies for the past three decades.
Through platforms such as Infosys Equinox, its partner products, and the most advanced technological capabilities in digital, Infosys claims to have helped 190-plus retailers around the world transform into intelligent enterprises. This the Indian IT firm says is by expanding their digital capabilities at the core and advancing their operational models and changing their skills to meet the demands of the future.
The Store Assist app is built on the same technology for fulfillment that Walmart stores rely on, providing retailers access to years of operational expertise from the American retailing giant.
Sunil Kumar — Walmart Commerce Technologies Vice President and General Manager said: “Infosys is a trusted partner to businesses that are navigating their digital transformation. We are excited to have Infosys help streamline implementation of the Store Assist app and to serve as a trusted system integration team for our customers.”
With Store Assist, retailers can enhance the fulfillment process in their stores by improving picking accuracy as well as speed and efficiency.
The efficiency of associates at stores can be increased by order queueing, multi-order batch pick, and priority-based pick paths, all of which can be enabled within the Store Assist app.
Besides, the app offers an easy handoff between employees and customers whether the latter are picking up their orders on the curbside or in-store and having them shipped or receiving delivery at the last mile. Businesses can all the while control the experience their customers have.
Store Assist offers a light cloud-based, API-first software that seamlessly integrates with an existing retailer’s commerce or OMS platform, and includes integrated integrations that are built-in that are available to Salesforce as well as Adobe customers.
Karmesh Vaswani — Infosys EVP and Global Head of Consumer of Retail & Logistics said: “To navigate an increasingly complex supply chain and serve the modern intelligent shopper the way they want, retailers are looking for innovative ways to deliver seamless omni-channel experiences with convenient fulfillment options.
“Infosys is proud to work with Walmart Commerce Technologies to enable retailers to implement Store Assist, thereby improving digital retail experience for customers and store employees.”
