Infosys roped in by East Sussex County Council to modernize services

Infosys said that it has been selected by the East Sussex County Council in the UK as its implementation partner for modernizing critical business systems as well as for fast tracking its shift to the cloud by deploying the Oracle Cloud Fusion Applications Suite.

East Sussex County Council serves the residents of East Sussex with care and support to families, children, and senior citizens apart from maintaining roads.

In order to ensure that the council is able to keep providing top-quality services to its people in the future, it has recognized the need to upgrade its outdated systems and benefit from the efficiencies offered by cloud platforms.

The East Sussex County Council will use Oracle Fusion Applications for finance as well as procurement and human resources.

The integrated cloud-based platform of Oracle can enhance the council’s HR processes, making them more efficient and boost the employee experience, said Infosys. Besides, it will make sourcing and supplier management processes better, while improving and automating financial processes to improve efficiency in operations, generate synergies between departments, and improve the provision of employee and citizen public services.

Infosys said that the modernization project will be managed via Infosys Oracle Cloud Services, which is part of Infosys Cobalt.

Infosys Oracle Cloud Services is said to combine cloud offerings, strategy consulting along with managed services capabilities to back public sector initiatives to transform their digital infrastructure to speed up the journey to the cloud.

Oracle Fusion Applications, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Oracle Fusion Cloud Procurement, and Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) will allow the East Sussex County Council in breaking down organizational silos, standardizing administrative processes, and manage securely the HR, finance, and procurement data through a single, combined IT platform.
