Infosys opens 350-bed block at Jayadeva Hospital in Bengaluru

Infosys said that its philanthropic and CSR arm — Infosys Foundation has opened a 350-bed ‘Infosys Foundation Block’ at Jayadeva Hospital in Bengaluru.

The block was built by Infosys Foundation at a cost of INR 103 crores in an effort to help Jayadeva Hospital in its bid to offer quality cardiac care at reasonable costs.

Inaugurated by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, the Infosys Foundation Block will have critical cardiac care equipment. It will provide free treatment to patients who are underprivileged.

Sudha Murty — Infosys Foundation Chairperson said: “The completion of this Block is testament to the long-standing collaboration between Infosys Foundation and Jayadeva Hospital. This further propels our continued efforts to ensure proper medical care and treatment for underprivileged patients in India.

Last month, Infosys Foundation opened the ‘Infosys Foundation Vishram Sadan’, a rest house located near the National Cancer Institute in the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Jhajjar, Haryana.
