Hola Nola Foods acquires Plocky’s Snack Chips owner NatureStar Foods

Food acquisition news : Louisiana-based Hola Nola Foods has purchased the assets of Hinsdale, Illinois-based snacks manufacturer NatureStar Foods – the owner of Plocky’s Fine Snacks brand Hummus Chips and Tortilla Chips for an undisclosed price.

Commenting on Hola Nola Foods acquisition of NatureStar Foods, Kevin Holden – President of Hola Nola Foods, said: “We are excited about adding the Plocky’s brand and products to our growing snack food lineup.

Hola Nola Foods will maintain the Chicagoland area distribution facility of NatureStar Foods to supply existing and future customers across the Midwest.  Paul Cipolla – President of NatureStar Foods will be the consultant to Hola Nola Foods and will look after long term customer relationships.

Paul Cipolla, commenting on Hola Nola Foods acquisition of NatureStar Foods, said: “After 30 years building the Plocky’s snack brand, I began looking for a company that could not only continue the brand but expand it beyond the Midwest.  I feel Hola Nola Foods is the ideal organization to fulfill that goal.”

Based in Geismar, Hola Nola Foods was founded by Kevin Holden alongside Rod Olson in 2013. Hola Nola Foods is a manufacturer of tortillas, tortilla chips, popcorn and salsas.
