Indian Wi-Fi brand IO by HFCL Limited, has launched its Telecom Infra Project (TIP) OpenWiFi compliant Access Points.

Telecom Infra Project is a worldwide community of firms and organizations that are driving infrastructure solutions for advancing connectivity across the globe.

HFCL said that the TIP OpenWiFi platform will ensure plug and play interoperability across various vendors, which will lead to a quicker roll out of features.

The optical fiber cable manufacturer said that it has been closely working with Telecom Infra Project to develop cost effective open source powered access points and wireless controllers for extending the reach and fast track the growth of high-speed broadband services across the globe.

Mahendra Nahata – Managing Director, HFCL said: “Our vision to connect the unconnected has further been strengthened with TIP OpenWiFi compliance for our IO Indoor and Outdoor Access Points.
