Hero MotoCorp said that it sold 576,957 motorcycles and scooters in March 2021, an increase of 72% compared to March 2020.

Included in the sales were 5,24608 motorcycles and 52,349 scooters.

In March 2020, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer had sold 334,647 motorcycles and scooters.

According to Hero MotoCorp, sales in March 2020 were affected adversely because of the impending transition to BSVI emission benchmark from April 2020. Apart from that, the lockdown across India towards the latter half of the month because of the Covid-19 pandemic had played its part in slowing down sales.
