HCL Technologies said that it has inked a five-year agreement with CEMEX to support the digital transformation of the Mexican construction materials company.
As part of the agreement, the Indian IT services firm will be responsible for delivering the next generation of employee services, increase automation, and provide near real-time analytics under the CEMEX “Working Smarter Program.”

“HCL is the best partner for us on our digital transformation journey because it has the right expertise. With the delivery of platforms like CEMEX GO, we’ll see a 21st century digital adoption in the construction industry.”
HCL Technologies said that it will focus on the global end-to-end transformation of IT lifecycle management, which will include digital transformation, IT managed services, infrastructure and application services, and end-user support.
The Indian IT services provider will make use of hybrid cloud platforms and concentrate on unifying and converging skills across traditional infrastructure, cloud, applications and digital through the use of agile practices in a capacity-based flexible model for supporting increased cloud adoption and end-to-end modernization for the Mexican firm.
Furthermore, HCL Technologies will also work together with NEORIS, a subsidiary of CEMEX, to build superior customer experience and get sustainable resiliency in the supply chain of the construction materials company.
HCL Technologies added that the objective of the agreement is to help CEMEX develop a scalable digital enterprise to push a differentiated experience using holistic digitalization as the backbone premise.
The Indian firm said that it will utilize its DryICE and Software suite of products along with various other orchestration/automation solutions and artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) based services for driving the global market imperatives of CEMEX.
