HCL Technologies introduces All Access Media Marketplace platform for media creators
HCL Technologies has launched the All Access Media Marketplace platform at NAB Las Vegas, designed for streamlining the pre-production, production and post-production processes of creation and distribution of content.
The new product is being built in coordination with tech major Microsoft and CoreSite, an American Tower Corporation company.
The core application of All Access Media Marketplace platform has been designed to solve the pain points encountered by various media creators related to workflow development, applications, and vendor discovery.
According to HCL Technologies, the platform will help media creators to develop workflows in HCL Workflow Creator, make use of MovieLabs Visual Language, and allow them to acquire the best vendor quotes.
The HCL Workflow Creator, which is the core application of All Access Media Marketplace, will serve as the human-to-machine interface. It will help in building software-defined workflows and offering a secure movement of digital assets from studio/set via carriers and telcos to private data centers, SaaS cloud-based tools, co-location providers, and hyperscalers.
While Microsoft 365 will optimize communication between content creators and service providers, Azure Cloud and its cybersecurity engineers enable the new platform’s alignment with MovieLabs 2030 Vision.
Simon Crownshaw — Microsoft Worldwide Media and Entertainment Strategy Director said: “The integration of HCL’s All Access Media Marketplace with Microsoft Outlook & Teams is a great way to facilitate B2B communication between Content Originators and Media Services companies for discovery and acquiring quotes.
“We look forward to enhancing this platform with the scale & applications available on Azure.”
On the other hand, the interconnection services of CoreSite, which include the Any 2 Exchange and Open Cloud Exchange, help users of the All Access Media Marketplace platform to create secure, low latency software-defined networks in a quick time.
HCL Technologies said that the All Access Media Marketplace platform in the future will have an integrated secure e-commerce backend. It will utilize the suite of the company’s digital experience and commerce software products to further streamline transactions throughout the media lifecycle.
The Indian IT services provider said that independent production firms, major studios, ad agencies, and corporate video producers can securely make use of the global resources in the platform via its cybersecurity practice.
Anil Ganjoo — Chief Growth Officer, Americas, TMT and RCPG Industries, HCLTechnologies, said: “Our deep M&E industry expertise – combined with our proven track record of developing and transforming digital solutions – uniquely positioned HCL to develop the All Access Media Marketplace.
“We’re happy to embrace the MovieLabs 2030 Vision and believe our expertise in this space will ultimately enhance the overall quality and ease of operations across the content creation lifecycle.”
