GRC International Group wins PCI security testing contract

UK-based GRC International Group said that it has bagged a multi-year payment card industry (PCI) security testing contract from an undisclosed global provider of managed network solutions.

The PCI security testing contract is likely to provide nearly £140,000 over a term of three years, said GRC International Group, which is a governance, risk management, and compliance company with a particular focus on cyber defence-in-depth.

GRC International Group said that it had recently introduced cloud security consultancy service and has signed its first contract.

The company stated that its cyber security testing business is accredited by CREST apart from being a PCI QSA (payment card industry qualified security assessor).

Alan Calder — CEO of GRC International Group, commenting on the PCI security testing contract, said: “We only launched our new cloud security consultancy service last month. To secure such a strategically important contract is testament to our capabilities as well as market demand.

“The depth of skill and experience in our cyber security team is fundamental to our ability to win longer term testing contracts which are also driving an expansion in our global footprint across the USA and EU.

“Furthermore, nation-state and cyber criminal threats, and the increasing cyber compliance regulatory actions, are not driven by the economic cycle.  We are therefore seeing in our Services division, which includes our technical security business, a notable shift away from being a cyclical business.”
