Genesys International to create digital twin of urban India

Genesys International Corporation Limited said that it has initiated its pan India program to build the digital twin of entire urban India.

The launch program of the digital twin platform was inaugurated by NITI AAYOG CEO Amitabh Kant.

Amitabh Kant — CEO of NITI Aayog said: “The new geospatial policy focuses on innovation and in harnessing the capability and content of companies like Genesys who have done pioneering work. Our Prime Minister has been a key advocate of using geospatial content in a host of applications, and his vision of self-reliance is manifested in the landmark geospatial policy.”

According to Genesys International, creating the highly accurate 3D data will result in a range of applications opening up in high-definition mapping, which was otherwise not possible, for smart cars, logistics, e-commerce, utilities, and gaming planning for next generation networks in renewable energy, telecom, and in disaster management as well as emergency response.

Furthermore, with the smart city components, the digital twin of cities will put India on the map with advanced cities that are now tapping the geospatial technology, said Genesys International.

The company is said to have a constellation of advanced sensors in the country, consisting of terrestrial systems and aerial mobile can execute imaging at very high speeds as well as resolution.
