Enterprise Holdings, the owner of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo Rent A Car, and National Car Rental brands, said that its Canadian subsidiary has wrapped up its acquisition of Discount Car and Truck Rentals.
The acquired business is a Canadian car and truck rental company that caters to customers across the country. Through the deal, Enterprise Holdings has acquired all of Discount Car and Truck Rentals’ corporate-owned locations and the Quebec licensee’s daily rental businesses.
Enterprise Holdings said that the deal will create growth by combining complementary networks and service offerings, workforces, and also the expertise of the two firms. This will result in a wider offering of services at more locations with a focus on improved mobility offerings, said the company.
Steven Tudela – Enterprise Holdings Senior Vice President of Canadian Operations said: “We are excited about and encouraged by the long-term opportunities for diversification and innovation this acquisition brings.
“Through a broader fleet of cars and trucks of all sizes and an expanded portfolio of services – from airport service car rentals to neighborhood leisure and moving truck rentals – the acquisition allows us to enhance our ability to meet the unique mobility needs of Canadian customers and offer more efficient service.”
The deal is also said to bring together the combined value of the truck rental offerings of the company. Enterprise Holdings said that customers will have access to a wider range of trucks, which include multiple truck classes, specialty equipped trucks and moving trucks, and also cargo and cube vans.
