DoorDash (NASDAQ: DASH), a leading local commerce platform, and Walgreens (NASDAQ: WBA), a trusted neighborhood health destination, have announced a groundbreaking collaboration to enable nearly 7,800 Walgreens stores across the United States to accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)/Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) payments. This initiative marks DoorDash as the first platform to allow SNAP customers to purchase directly from Walgreens using their EBT cards, and the first third-party delivery service provider to offer SNAP/EBT as a payment option at a major drugstore nationwide.

With the addition of Walgreens, DoorDash significantly expands its reach, more than doubling the number of stores available for on-demand delivery with SNAP/EBT payments on its platform. This expansion aims to enhance food access to over 14 million people living in food deserts and more than 40 million residents in communities with high SNAP/EBT usage.
