Domfoam expands into Ontario with acquisition of Foamco Industries
Domfoam, a premier manufacturer of high-quality foam products based in Quebec, has announced a strategic expansion into the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and the broader Ontario market. This growth is facilitated through the acquisition of Foamco Industries, which represents a significant enhancement of Domfoam’s market share in Ontario while reinforcing its established presence in Quebec.
The acquisition allows Domfoam to offer next-day delivery services across the GTA and Ontario, a move that Jonathan Pomerantz, CEO of Domfoam, describes as crucial for meeting the increasing demand for their products. “This strategic move allows us to extend our reach and provide superior service to a broader market,” Pomerantz stated.
Karim Khoury, VP of Operations at Domfoam, also highlighted the excitement within the company regarding the expansion. “The acquisition of Foamco is great for Domfoam; it solidifies the fact that we are ready to compete with our biggest competitors,” Khoury expressed.
With a solid foundation in Quebec through its three manufacturing facilities, Domfoam has been a leader in the foam products industry since 1963. The company’s success in Quebec serves as a robust platform for its expansion into Ontario. Pomerantz emphasized the commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and service, ensuring that customers in Ontario will receive the same level of excellence that has characterized Domfoam’s operations in Quebec.
With Foamco’s integration, Domfoam now operates five manufacturing facilities spanning over 550,000 square feet across Quebec and Ontario. This expansion not only boosts Domfoam’s production capacity but also introduces a third manufacturing option in the market, enhancing competitive conditions and meeting consumer needs more effectively.
