Dollar General opens first store in Wyoming at Pine Bluffs

Dollar General Pine Bluffs store opening news : US variety store chain Dollar General has opened its first store in Wyoming, located at Pine Bluffs, to expand its national footprint to 45 states.

The retailer’s first-ever store in Wyoming was announced in September 2019. At that time, Dollar General also revealed plans to grow its presence into Washington state, where new stores are slated to open during early spring 2020.

The variety store chain claims to sell food, snacks, cleaning supplies, basic apparel, health and beauty aids, housewares and seasonal items at everyday low prices at convenient neighborhood locations including the new Dollar General Pine Bluffs store. As of 1 November 2019, Dollar General operated 16,094 stores across 44 states.

Dollar General job opportunities

Last month, the US variety store chain disclosed plans to generate more than 8,000 new job opportunities in 2020 through the expected opening of new Dollar General stores and Dollar General distribution centers. In the last five years, Dollar General claims to have created nearly 35,000 new jobs in the US to expand its workforce from 105,000 employees in February 2015 to over 143,000 employees.
