Broadtree acquires aerospace parts manufacturer Seanair Machine
Broadtree Partners, a lower-middle market private equity firm, has acquired Seanair Machine, a US-based manufacturer of OEM precision machined parts for the aerospace sector, for an undisclosed price.
Established in 1957, Seanair Machine has been engaged in producing structural parts, flight controls, material handling, ground support, wing structure parts, fuel systems, landing gears, removable panels, and weapon-delivery components.
The company is said to have worked on A-6 Intruder, EA-6B Prowler, E-2C Hawkeye, C-2A Greyhound, F-14 Tomcat, F22 Raptor, U2 Dragon Lady, the Lunar Module, C-130 Hercules, F-16 Viper, SH-60 Sea Hawk, V-22 Osprey, and various classified programs.
Headquartered in Farmingdale, New York, Seanair Machine manufactures high-quality components for supporting the operational readiness and force projection of the US Armed Forces and their allies across the world.
Its acquisition by Broadtree Partners was executed in partnership with AE Industrial Partners Structured Solutions I and supported by Live Oak Bank (LOB).
AE Industrial Partners Structured Solutions I is an affiliate of AE Industrial Partners (AEI), which is a private equity firm that specializes in aerospace, defense and government services, specialty industrial markets, and power generation.
Avi Das, who in the past led strategy and corporate development for Tata Group, has been made CEO of Seanair Machine, which will be rebranded as Seanair.
Laura Abel Nawrocki and Thomas Nawrocki, the previous owners of Seanair Machine, will continue to support the company’s operations and give leadership and guidance in the growth of the new firm in the role of outside consultants.
