Heart-wrenching breakdown: BJP MP Locket Chatterjee sheds light on horrifying election allegations

During a press briefing on Friday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from West Bengal’s Hooghly constituency, Locket Chatterjee, became emotional while detailing an alleged sexual assault of a BJP candidate in the recent West Bengal panchayat elections.

The BJP has blamed Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers for the reported incident. Alongside Locket Chatterjee at the briefing was West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar, addressing a viral video from Manipur, allegedly showing two women being paraded naked.

Locket Chatterjee appealed to the country’s empathy, highlighting her identity as a woman and a mother, wanting protection for all of India’s daughters. The MP referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent comments on incidents of violence against women in Manipur, praising him for advocating for strict law and order across all states to safeguard women.

Tears were shed by Locket Chatterjee as she retold the alleged assault story of a BJP candidate by TMC workers during the Panchayat polls on July 8 in the Howrah district of West Bengal. However, West Bengal’s DGP, Manoj Malviya, maintained that the police found no evidence to support these allegations. He mentioned an email received by the police on July 13 regarding the alleged assault. However, despite thorough investigation, no evidence or proof was found. He also noted that neither police nor central forces at the scene on the day of the incident reported any such event.

The West Bengal DGP insisted that if such an incident had occurred in today’s digital era, it would have been recorded and the police would have taken action.
