Axis Bank said that it has allotted 1,73,460 equity shares priced at INR 2 each, pursuant to the exercise of stock options under its employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) scheme.
The Indian private sector bank said that its paid up share capital will increase accordingly from INR 613,09,72,984 to INR 613,13,19,904.
Last month, Axis Bank reported a growth of 94% in its net profit for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2022 (Q1FY22) at INR 2,160 crores. This is in comparison to INR 1,112 crores in net profit for the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The bank posted an 11% increase in its net interest income to INR 7,760 crores in Q1FY22, in comparison to Q1FY21 net interest income of INR 6,985 crores. Read more about Axis Bank Q1FY22 results here.
