Aston Martin has announced a supply agreement with Lucid Group, an electric vehicle (EV) technology firm, with an intent to create the best ultra-luxury high performance electric vehicles in the industry.

This partnership forms a pivotal part of Aston Martin’s electrification strategy, powering its long-term growth and reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.

The collaboration positions Lucid as a key player in supplying Aston Martin with advanced electric vehicle technologies. Lucid, recognized for its cutting-edge design and manufacturing of electric powertrains and battery systems, will provide Aston Martin with access to current and future battery and powertrain technologies, playing a central role in Aston Martin’s all-new in-house Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) platform.

Roberto Fedeli — Aston Martin Chief Technology Officer said: “The proposed agreement with Lucid forms a significant pillar of our electrification strategy, providing Aston Martin with access to the industry’s leading powertrain and battery systems technology. Combined with our internal development, this will allow us to create a single bespoke BEV platform suitable for all future Aston Martin products, all the way from hypercars to sports cars and SUVs.
