This facility, named the Integrated Plant for Ingenious Defence Systems (IPiDS), is poised to manufacture missiles, their subsystems, and undertake Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) of weapons. Furthermore, Apollo Micro Systems is venturing into the manufacture of Unmanned Aerial Systems and Unmanned Ground Systems, emphasizing its role in advancing India’s defense manufacturing capabilities.

The foundation stone laying and groundbreaking ceremony of the IPiDS facility, held on 19th February 2024, was graced by distinguished guests including the Hon’ble Minister for ITE&C, Industries & Commerce and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana, Duddilla Sridhar Babu. The ceremony underscored Telangana’s emerging prominence as an aerospace and defense manufacturing hub, with Hyderabad being recognized for its cost-effectiveness and infrastructure conducive to the aerospace industry.
