Anupam Rasayan signs $182m LoI for specialty chemicals with Japanese firm

Anupam Rasayan said that it has signed a letter of intent (LoI) worth $182 million (INR 1,500 crores) with a Japanese multinational pertaining to three high-value specialty chemicals.

According to the Indian custom synthesis and specialty chemical players, for the next seven years, it will manufacture and supply the molecules.

Anupam Rasayan will manufacture the products at its existing facilities.

The company’s managing director Anand Desai said that under the LoI, it will be the exclusive supplier for the three molecules out of India, which aligns with its strategy of expanding in the fluoropolymer and electronic segments.

Anand Desai said: “We are proud to announce that we are partnering with a leading Japanese multinational to add three new molecules to our portfolio. This achievement was made possible by the joint efforts of our Japanese and Indian business development teams, and adds another marquee name to our customer base in a short span of time.
