Alleged land grab case puts Telangana BRS MLA Arekapudi Gandhi in legal trouble

In a shocking turn of events, the Telangana High Court has sent notices to the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA, Arekapudi Gandhi, amidst allegations of land-grabbing and intimidation. The MLA is charged with attempting to seize prime city land, causing a sensation across the state.

The court action follows a petition submitted by Ajay Agarwal and Sulochana Agarwal, directors of Fenestration Systems Pvt Ltd, alleging forced entry and vandalism by armed individuals linked to the MLA. These supposed henchmen are accused of violent trespass on company premises, demolishing structures, and seizing valuable materials and machinery.

The petitioners claimed these events led to numerous factory employees sustaining injuries, and threats were made against anyone who attempted to intervene.

In an intriguing twist, the High Court has also issued notices to the Telangana police, including the Director General of Police, Cyberabad police Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Medchal, and local enforcement officers. The court has questioned their alleged favoritism towards MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, demanding answers as to why the serious crime wasn’t registered promptly and why the severity of the offences was downplayed.

The petitioners further enlightened the court about the 70,000 square feet factory, situated on a disputed land of over six acres. The MLA’s interference in the ongoing civil dispute, they claim, had a sinister motive: a blatant attempt to forcefully dispossess them of the valuable land.

As the Telangana High Court gears up for the showdown, the MLA, police, and the petitioners must prepare their respective responses.
