Alkem Laboratories said that it has launched Ibuprofen and Famotidine Tablets (800 mg/26.6 mg) in the US having secured an approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Ibuprofen and Famotidine Tablets is AB-rated generic therapeutic equivalent version of Horizon Medicines’ Duexis Tablets, 800 mg/26.6 mg.

According to Alkem Laboratories, it is the first generic approval of Duexis Tablets, 800 mg/26.6 mg by the FDA.

Based in Mumbai, India, the company is focused on developing, manufacturing, and selling pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products. Its products include branded generics, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), generic drugs, and nutraceuticals, which it markets in both the Indian and overseas markets.
