Accenture to acquire French health consulting company OpusLine
Accenture has agreed to acquire OpusLine, a Paris-based health consulting company that offers strategic advisory and transformational services to public- and private-sector healthcare providers and also life sciences and insurance firms across France.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition of OpusLine is expected to help Accenture’s position in catering to health industry clients with the latest innovations in data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and other areas. It will also help the Ireland-based professional services company to support the health ecosystem through highly differentiated services.
Commenting on Accenture acquisition of OpusLine, Olivier Girard – Accenture France & Benelux market unit lead said: “Our intent to acquire OpusLine is aligned with our development strategy and underscores our commitment to the health industry, which is a fast-growing sector for Accenture and also for society as a whole.
“OpusLine’s extensive industry knowledge complements Accenture’s deep technology expertise and would provide our clients in France with even greater access to local and global industry expertise as they embrace new technologies and processes.”
Established in 2012, OpusLine employs 85 plus consultants. After the completion of the acquisition, employees of the French health consulting company will join the newly formed health practice of Accenture Strategy & Consulting and boost its ability to help clients in innovating and delivering digital innovation across their organizations.
Alix Pradere – OpusLine founder and associate partner, commenting on Accenture acquisition of OpusLine, said: “The opportunity to become part of Accenture presents tremendous new opportunities for our business, our clients and our people.
“We are particularly excited about the opportunity to leverage Accenture’s capabilities in digital and cybersecurity to deliver enhanced patient and customer experiences and to also ensure we remain at the forefront of industry innovation.”
The acquisition of the French health consulting company would need prior consultation with the relevant works councils and will also be subject to meeting of customary closing conditions, said Accenture.
