L&T bags CPWD contract for Common Central Secretariat buildings
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that its construction division — L&T Construction has bagged an order in the range of INR 2,500-5,000 crores to build Common Central Secretariat Integrated Buildings 1, 2, and 3 in New Delhi.
The contract was given by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) to LET- Construction’s buildings and factories business.
The three buildings will be constructed at Plot 137 and have a built-up area of around 48.11 lakh sft.
Larsen & Toubro said that the contract includes operations and maintenance as well.
The three buildings of the Common Central Secretariat will have a ground floor, upper ground floor, and six storeys with a couple of basements.

This project calls for the construction of cubicles, cabins, and open work halls. The scope of work also covers demolition, civil works, external development, finishes, furniture, associated mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works and operations and maintenance for a period of five years.
The project is slated to be wrapped up in 24 months.
