BCPL Railway Infrastructure bags broad gauge line construction order

BCPL Railway Infrastructure, a Kolkata-based railing contractor, said that it has bagged a new broad gauge line construction order worth INR 20.56 crore from Eastern Railway (HQ), Electrical.

The contract is for executing design, drawing, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 25KV A.C. single phase overhead equipment, LT supply transformer and new switching stations at Mohanpur, Kankni, and Balenpur.

The work is related to the construction of a new broad guage line from Mohanpur (In) to Hansdiha (Ex) in Asansol Division of Eastern Railway.

BCPL Railway Infrastructure said that the contract work anticipated to be carried out over a period of 12 months.

Aparesh Nandi – Chairman of BCPL Railway Infrastructure said: “We at BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited are pleased to inform our stakeholders on our recent order intake in the Asansol Division of Eastern Railway.

“The value of this order is Rs.20.56 cr and we are quite optimistic about the pipeline of orders in the coming months and in near future also. We expect to end the year on robust order book.”

Recently, BCPL Railway Infrastructure had wrapped up and commissioned OHE work for Railway Electrification, Danapur, made up of 30 Track kilometres (TKM) from Katwa to Gangatikuri and Karnasubarna to Chowrigacha and Bazarsau.

Last month, the railing contractor said that it had energized electrified railway tracks of approximately 289.5 TKM during the financial year 2020-21, at various railway zones in India.
