Salesforce and NVIDIA have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing artificial intelligence capabilities in the enterprise sector. The collaboration will focus on developing autonomous agent and interactive avatar experiences by combining the NVIDIA AI platform with the Salesforce Platform and Agentforce to optimise predictive and generative AI workflows. This partnership promises to empower sales, service, marketing, and IT teams by enhancing their productivity through AI-driven insights.

Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, stated, “Together with NVIDIA, we’re leading the third wave of the AI revolution — moving beyond copilots to humans and intelligent agents working seamlessly to drive customer success.” This collaboration will integrate NVIDIA’s AI platform with Salesforce’s Agentforce to deliver superior AI performance, creating more engaging and intelligent customer experiences.

The collaboration will offer next-generation AI and data capabilities as part of the Salesforce Platform and Agentforce, a set of tools designed to create and customise AI agents with a range of pre-built options. These AI-powered agents will accelerate Salesforce customers’ return on AI investments, providing them with a competitive edge in various industries. NVIDIA’s NIM microservices and NeMo, part of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise platform, will be employed for model customisation to improve AI platform performance and efficiency.

NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang highlighted the significance of this collaboration, saying that “in the future, every company, every job will be enhanced by a wide range of AI agents – assistants that will transform how we work.” The partnership aims to provide AI-driven solutions for various real-world scenarios that span across industries. AI agents will manage high volumes of customer inquiries during product recalls or service outages, providing prompt responses and escalating critical issues to human agents. AI agents will also predict and adjust travel or shipping routes based on live weather data, ensuring minimal disruptions and enhanced operational efficiency. The AI agents will automatically update CRM data, keeping customers informed of any changes. In addition, AI agents, via live avatar chats, will leverage CRM data to provide instant solutions for customer queries, enhancing customer satisfaction and support efficiency.

Applications of AI-powered avatars are also being explored. AI avatars will provide on-the-spot feedback to sales teams, suggesting improvements in engagement and communication. They will also manage ticketing and customer preferences in real-time during events, optimising attendance and experience. AI avatars will offer personalised, on-demand training sessions, helping employees gain relevant skills and feedback during on-the-job training.
