Kerala Health Minister Veena George confirmed the tragic news, stating that four students, including two boys and two girls, were declared dead upon arrival at the Kalamassery Medical College in Kochi. The minister revealed that the condition of four students is critical, with two receiving treatment in a private hospital and two in a government hospital.

In her statement, Ms. George added, “18 injured people are admitted to a private hospital. We alerted the hospitals as soon as we found out. A team of doctors is collecting information from the hospitals.” The swift response and ongoing treatment efforts highlight the severity of this tragic incident.
