The significant order, awarded by Mongol Refinery State Owned LLC, entails the construction of Mongolia’s inaugural greenfield Mongol Oil Refinery Project, with a valuation of $648 million.

Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Hydrocarbons President, P Rajesh Reddy, and Altantsetseg Dashdavaa, Executive Director representing the Mongol Refinery State Owned LLC, formalized the project contract during a momentous signing ceremony held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This groundbreaking initiative, backed by a government-to-government (G2G) collaboration, is MEIL’s third venture in the region, reinforcing its robust presence across the hydrocarbon spectrum.

The Mongol Refinery Project heralds the establishment of Mongolia’s maiden crude oil refinery, poised to produce a staggering 1.5 million tonnes of crude oil annually. This ambitious undertaking aims to cater to Mongolia’s burgeoning domestic demand for essential petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, and LPG.
