Wipro ropes in Amit Choudhary as new chief operating officer

Wipro said that it has appointed Amit Choudhary as the new chief operating officer as well as a member of the company’s executive board.

According to the Indian IT services provider, Amit Choudhary’s responsibility will be to enhance the operational efficiency of the organization and help fuel its sustainable growth.

Amit Choudhary will closely work with its leadership teams across the group on transformation initiatives with the objective to boost customer-centricity, said Wipro.

The new Wipro chief operating officer will handle Global Business Operations, CISO, CIO, Delivery Excellence, and the Enterprise Risk Management functions.

Before joining Wipro, Amit Choudhary was the Chief Operating Officer for Capgemini’s Financial Services Business division, and a member of the company’s executive committee as well.

Prior to Capgemini, he was in different leadership roles at Boston Consulting Group and Cadence Design Systems. Amit Choudhary is said to have consulted with CXOs and boards across industries such as financial services, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and industrial goods.
