Wipro acquires business and tech transformation consultant CAS Group

Wipro has acquired Convergence Acceleration Solutions (), a US-based consulting and program management company, with specialization in driving large-scale business and technology transformation for communications service providers (CSPs).

The financial terms of the deal were not revealed.

Established in 2007, CAS Group caters to clients across 17 centers of service that include mobile/wireless, business and fiber-optic services, and data, cable, and telecom retail solutions.

Its services include business support system (BSS) and operational support system (OSS) transformation, modernization of applications, broadband infrastructure services, as well as telco network enablement of digital products like 5G, Network as a Service, and Internet of Things ().

According to Wipro, the deep-rooted client relationships and robust domain expertise of CAS Group combined with its own execution capabilities will deliver an end-to-end professional services solution and instant effect to clients.

The joint entity will offer clients with services that range from development of strategy and planning to execution as well as implementation.

Wipro further stated that the acquisition of CAS Group is yet another step in its transformation journey towards becoming a sought-after strategic partner for the most complex business transformation requirements of clients.
