US department store company Von Maur has opened a new 130,000-square-foot store in Orland Park, Illinois as per the latest retail industry news.

The new Von Maur department store, which is at the Orland Square Mall, is the retailer’s seventh location in Illinois.

The department store has specialty apparel, shoes, gifts and accessories, covering products from brands like Brooks Brothers, Bobbi Brown, Free People, Peter Millar, Kendra Scott, Kate Spade, and others.

Von Maur’s customer service includes an interest-free charge card, return policy, free gift wrapping and free-of-cost shipping services.

The US department store company said that the new store in Orland Park continues to consolidate upon the momentum of its targeted national growth strategy.

Last month, Von Maur opened its third location in Michigan and a second location in Minnesota last year. The department store chain has grown beyond its Midwestern presence, including Georgia, Alabama, New York, and Oklahoma.

Recently, Von Maur said that it will open a second location in Wisconsin, which will be in Madison in Fall 2021.

Von Maur said that the remodeled, two-level department store in Orland Park features the retailer’s signature exterior brick façade, open expansive floor plan, and also residential ambiance, which includes music from the store’s grand piano.

The Von Maur store at the Orland Square Mall will employ eventually up to 150 associates with the majority of them to be full-time roles.
