Vidhi Specialty Food Ingredients installs Rs 9cr solar power plant
Vidhi Specialty Food Ingredients Limited (VSFIL) said that it has installed a 2MW solar power plant with an investment of around INR 9 crores in the Akola district in Maharashtra.
The captive solar power plant is located in Rambhapur village in Murtizapur taluka.
According to Vidhi Specialty Food Ingredients, 100% of the power generated by the Akola solar power plant will be utilized to meet the green energy requirements of its manufacturing units. Besides, the solar power project will help reduce the carbon emissions of the synthetic food grade colors manufacturer.
Fully funded by the company’s internal accruals, the solar power plant in Rambhapur will also help it achieve considerable cost savings and operational efficiencies, which will enable margin expansion in the long run.
