Vascon Engineers gets LoA from Goa govt for developing convention centre
Vascon Engineers Limited in consortium of DCS Solar Energy has been issued a letter of award (LoA) from the Goa government for the development of an international convention centre at Dona Paula.
The order to the consortium will be on a design, build, finance, operate, transfer (DBFOT) basis.
The international convention centre project is on a public private partnership (PPP) basis in which DCS Solar Energy is the lead member.
Vascon Engineers, on the other hand, is the construction partner.
The Pune-based construction engineering company said that the value of construction and tenure will be finalized after the completion of the design development phase.
According to Vascon Engineers, the scope of the work involves the construction of a convention centre with a capacity of 5,000 people along with the allied construction to support it on a land parcel of nearly 28 acres.
Last month, Crest Ventures Limited, a non-banking finance company based in Mumbai, said that it will acquire a 5.12% stake in Vascon Engineers for about INR 250 million.
