Valaris wins contract for Valaris Relentless drillship from Chevron

Valaris Limited has bagged a three-year contract from Chevron for the use of its Valaris Relentless drillship (VALARIS DS-18 drillship) in the US Gulf of Mexico.

The Bermuda-based offshore drilling services provider said that the contract is likely to come into effect in Q1 2022 in direct continuation of the existing contract.

The contract value was not disclosed by the company.

The Valaris Relentless drillship can operate in water depth of up to 12,000ft.

Earlier, this month, Valaris Limited won a one-well contract offshore Ivory Coast from Total E&P Côte d’Ivoire for the use of its VALARIS DS-12 drillship. The contract is anticipated to begin in Q3 2021.
