US Foods expands distribution network with Renzi Foodservice acquisition

US Foods Holding Corp., an American foodservice distributor, confirmed that it has finalized its acquisition of Renzi Foodservice, a broadline distributor based in Watertown, New York.

The deal, which was announced in May 2023, represents US Foods’ first strategic acquisition since April 2020, and the first under CEO Dave Flitman’s leadership. The terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.

This acquisition allows US Foods to significantly enhance its distribution capabilities in central upstate New York, a region where it currently lacks a distribution center. By integrating Renzi Foodservice into its operations, US Foods aims to broaden its reach and penetrate new markets.

Renzi Foodservice, a family-owned business for two generations, boasts more than $180 million in annual revenue and serves a diverse customer base that includes over 2,300 independent restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, government organizations, and convenience stores. The company is set to continue its operations in its existing 110,000 square foot facility.
