US Air Force grants $950m ABMS contract to ARC in JADC2 expansion
Armaments Research Company (ARC, Inc.), a pioneer in armaments research, has secured a colossal $950,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract from the U.S. Air Force for their Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS). The contract is a significant step towards the maturation and demonstration of capability across different platforms and domains. Utilizing open systems design, modern software, and innovative algorithm development, the agreement propels the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiative.
The awarded contract offers multiple awardees the chance to compete within seven competitive pools. These efforts support the development and operation of a system working as a cohesive force across all domains: air, land, sea, space, cyber, and the electromagnetic spectrum. The aim is to build an open architecture family of systems that integrates capabilities through various platforms. All subsequent work under this multiple-award IDIQ contract will be fiercely competed via the Fair Opportunity process.
