Trident Limited has reported a profit after tax (PAT) of INR 2,288 million for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2022 (Q2 FY22), a 128.3% increase compared to INR 1002.4 million in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The Indian textile and paper manufacturer, which is part of the Trident Group, had a profit after tax of INR 2,035 million in Q1 FY22.
The earnings per share (EPS) of the reported quarter ended 30 September 2021 were INR 0.46 compared to an EPS of INR 0.2 in Q2 FY21.
Trident Limited earned a total income of INR 16,726.7 million in Q2 FY22, a 42.4% increase compared to INR 11,744.3 million in the same quarter of the fiscal year 2021.
Rajinder Gupta — Chairman at Trident Group, commenting on Trident Q2 FY22 results, said: “We have continued the positive momentum from the previous quarter and delivered the best performance in the second quarter.

During the reported quarter, the textile and paper manufacturer started commercial production of yarn in a new spinning unit which has a capacity of 61,440 spindles and 480 rotors. The company had also commenced operations of a captive use 7.6MW solar power plant in Budhni, Madhya Pradesh.
Recently, Trident Limited had declared a 36% dividend (INR 0.36 per fully paid up equity share of INR 1 each) for its shareholders with 29 October 2021 as record date.
