A devastating single-vehicle crash in Alpharetta, Georgia, has resulted in the tragic loss of three young lives and left two others injured. The accident occurred on May 14 on Westside Parkway and involved five students, all aged 18.
Details of the Accident in Alpharetta
The deceased, identified by local police as Sriya Avasarala, Anvi Sharma, and Aryan Joshi, were involved in the crash when the driver, Rithwak Somepalli, reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car flipped and came to rest upside down in the tree line. Joshi and Avasarala were pronounced dead at the scene, while Sharma succumbed to injuries the following day at North Fulton Hospital.
Avasarala and Sharma were students at the University of Georgia, and Joshi was a senior at Alpharetta High School. The driver, Somepalli, a student at Georgia State University, and Mohammed Liyakath, also a senior at Alpharetta High School, sustained injuries in the accident and were hospitalized.
